Roswell Deserves a Better Historic Gateway Plan
The Historic Gateway project stands as the most significant transportation project undertaking in our town’s history. Initially proposed to address the reversible lanes, GDOT has dramatically escalated the project cost from an initial $18 million to now over $68 million (remember Oxbo?). This project expansion threatens to decimate our beautiful tree canopy, increase regional cut-thru traffic from neighboring counties, and jeopardize local businesses, many of which could be forced to close. We must advocate for our community to protect our Historic District from additional cut-thru regional traffic and preserve our future economic integrity.
